Y
Whee! Today was a gr8t day! The sermon at church today was so funny! It was the "Cat and Dog Theology" LOL! And the speaker, Rev. George Ong, he had this slides that had reallie entertaining sounds to go with them. It was a good way to get a lot of attention, though some had apparently dozed off. And he had this reallie funny tone in his voice, which kept yi and I laughing. Hahaha.
PLUS! Today's worship was awesome!! Like... T-O-T-A-L-L-Y!! :D Songs spoke right straight to my heart. I'm glad I went to church today, though I was kinda reluctant. Cause firstly, zhaoru was down with a temperature and the kids will be alone? Secondly, service was awesome. It couldn't have been better. Thirdly, the company was gr8t. I went out with the girls for lunch and wanted to go to SKS warehouse, but sadly, it was closed! Haha. It's okie. :)
During lunch, yi, drea and I talked about those STC days. My goodness, sure brings back fond memories!! Wow... The zoo camp, the council camp (with the guarding our flags and stuff?! Remember?!?) Wow... And I just read yi's entry on how she misses STC life, I can sooo account to that! Hmmm… but life goes on yeaa. :) Memories will be kept as memories :D Aye, share with you people a reallie nice poem that has been with me since ages ago. LOL
Make new friends, but keep the old,
Those are silver, these are gold;
New-made friendships, like new wine,
Age will mellow and refine.
Friendships that have stood the test-
Time and change - are surely best;
Brow may wrinkle, hair grow gray,
Friendship never knows decay,
For amid old friends, tried and true,
Once more we our youth renew.
Wow, so true so true. Nice yea? :D
Anyway, I didn't manage to update about yesterday, i.e. Saturday.
So... Here goes...
Woke up around 9 plus and met up with sister poh suan for my empowering session of mentoring. :D She's truly an awesome lady of God. I thank God for her willingness to guide me. :D Wheee. I'm so blessed by her.
Then I spent some time in church to do the discipleship book, before meeting up with Matt at PS. Wanted to watch "A Cinderella Story", but zang, the queue was sooo long?! We decided to go for lunch first!
Then cause I wanted to watch that show, we went to Suntec, Eng Wah cinemas, but the next show was at 7.20pm!! So since we didn't wanna travel the whole of Singapore for a movie, we decided to go check the newspapers! And how else to check one other than to purchase one! LOL! Hahahaa. The silly things we do. Okie, so we got da strait times and found Gr8t world! Wheeee. (Btw, if u wanna noe the life of the rest of the newspapers other than the life section that was safe in Matt's bag, the rest found home in the bin).
So made our way down to Gr8t world in a cab, cause we decided it's safer that way. :D (I don't noe where the bus-stop was lah. And neither did he!) Annddd we managed to watch it! Yes yes yes! Awww, it was reallie sweet, cause it had a happy ending. It was a typical Cinderella kinda show. Not bad. 3 and a half popcorns!!
Then after gr8t world, we were at hmmm... Merlion Park? Is that what u call that place? Aye, I'm not sure. So yea. Stayed there for a while before going home. Yup, it was a day well spent. Though it was kinda sad and stuff. :)
It's actually the silly things that are deeply embedded in many, amidst all the memories. :D Cause I sure remember more of the silly things, since they amuse meh so. :D
I miss you*
