bintan Y
I'm back i'm back!
Well, in case you don't noe, I went on a 2 day mission trip to Bintan.
OH my, I learnt quite a few stuff there!
My team, Beautiful, was to start with our stuff at the orphanage!
ORPHANAGE:
GAMES: Erm... It was truly chaotic. LOL! Everyone was doing whatever they liked. Till the interpreters told us to separate the kids according to their age group. But that wasn't too good an idea because after I left with the younger kids, the older kids didn't even wanna play the games, instead, they played soccer? LOL! So yeah, point noted was that everyone loves ball games there. So next time you go to a village area, play BALL games, if possible. :)) And after the lil' ones played the games finish, we played volleyball. OH my, they're reallie good lah!!
SERVICE: Cause we played so much during the day, they kids were starting to fall asleep during our origami and sermon section. Hahahaha. It's super cute lahhh. One boy was like sleeping while kneeling down, face down and his hands were placed ahead of him. LOL!! It's hilarious lah. At first it looked like some real holy kid... Then I guess he stayed in that position too long... (that was after the whole thing ended)
Anyway, during altar call, it was awesome!! I mean you could see God moving in the midst of the kids! They were crying and all while we prayed for them all. Wow. Amazing stuff ehh.. :))
KAWAL:
SUNDAY SERVICE: Okie, then the next day, we went to kawal for service. Hahaha. We saw the pretty girl that Team Awesome was talking about. Yeah!! She reallie is pretty. In fact, the whole family looked good lah. :D Hahahaa. A pity, we didn't take some photos with them. Anyway, service there was somewhat pretty different... Like during each chorus of some songs, people would go up to the front to sing, like the youths or adults that kinda thing? Seemed like some performance. haha.
Oh my goodness! Then there was this reallie physical activity in the church!!
We were singing some Hallelujah, puji tuhan or something song?? Oh my... Then cause it was like 2 rows of benches, so one side sang hallelujah and the other side sang the next two words of the song. Since the whole song revolved around those 3 words. So everytime we sang our part, we had to stand. Then sit when the other side sang their lines?! Oh myyyy... so we were standing and sitting and standing and sitting... And the pastor in front looked so happy lah! He was like smiling and laughing as he conducted us. Oh my, looked so sadistic.
Oh, but later, they replenished us with food. :))
Then we left for a tour round the village. It was cool.
LESSONS FROM THIS TRIP:
During this trip, I learnt that we shuld not limit God to what we can see happening then. I mean, we probably planted a few seeds, but that has to be left for God to nurture. So yeah! Do cont. to pray for the kids there!
Anddd... I learn what PATIENCE truly meant. OH my goodness. I wanted to like kill some people during the trip?! LOL!! But yeah. maintained my coolness. So whee! patience and self-control.
Another thing was that my faith in God reallie grew there. I had to trust God to do everything else cause language was a huge barrier there, and I couldn't reallie talk to the kids there. Yeah.. It's like you talk about the sky and I talk about the ground kidna thing?! :S Terrible lahh. It took us approx 7 minutes to know each other age. Hahahhaa! Funny stuff yeah. :)) Erm, without the interpreters lah. :P
I think the fruits of the spirit are growing in me! :D What an exciting trip, please do continue to pray that my mom will allow me to go for the 2 weeks berkasi trip?? Yes yes. Amen!!
