Ann & Elly Y
Lemme share with you the story about the Ant and the elephant. Ann and Elly. Hahahaha!
One day the ant was hitching a ride on the elephant's back as they crossed this suspension bridge (u noe, those reallie jia lat kinda ones, made of ropes and planks). So as the elephant made her way across, the bridge was creaking and shaking away. Thank God it didn't fell apart yeah... Then when they were safely across, the ant said to the elephant, "wow, didn't we just shake this bridge up together!"
Haha. Many times we tend to be like the ant and God like the elephant. We tell God, "Wow God! Didn't we just rock the house tonight?!" Seriously, it doesn't make much of a difference with us riding on God or not.. But there we are trying to steal the limelight from God and claim credit. So we should always learn to give God the glory that he's due! Amen! :)

Ok, that aside, I was fasting and praying since monday and it was awesome I tell you. WOw. :) God led me to the scripture verses from Exodus 33:12-23 and Exodus 34:29-35 and the words "Joshua Generation" kept coming to my mind for the past 2 days. So just lemme show you the verses and share about JG with you ok?
OK!
Moses and the Glory of the LORD
12 Moses said to the LORD, "You have been telling me, 'Lead these people,' but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, 'I know you by name and you have found favor with me.' 13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people."
14 The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
15 Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?"
17 And the LORD said to Moses, "I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name."
18 Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory."
19 And the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."
21 Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen."
The Radiant Face of Moses
29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD. 30 When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him. 31 But Moses called to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and he spoke to them. 32 Afterward all the Israelites came near him, and he gave them all the commands the LORD had given him on Mount Sinai.
33 When Moses finished speaking to them, he put a veil over his face. 34 But whenever he entered the LORD's presence to speak with him, he removed the veil until he came out. And when he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded, 35 they saw that his face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.
Joshua Generation
If you read through the later chapters of Deuteronomy and the Book of Joshua, you will see that Joshua's generation was the generation of God's chosen people to take possession of the Promised Land; the ones to take possession of the blessings that God had promised to their forefathers. Unlike the generation prior who grumbled against God, Joshua's generation transformed the world around them with God. Their life was a daily demonstration of God's power, God's Holiness, God's faithfulness, and God's love for His chosen people. They not only demolished strongholds, but shook the very foundation of their society.
Unfortunately, not much has changed from the time of Moses. Too many so called Christians now stand and grumble against the very God that delivered them from their land of slavery; living a life characterized by doubt and unfruitfulness. Therefore, today, the Joshua generation is represented by those young men and women of God who are next to take possession of God's blessings by conquering a land of unbelievers and watered down Christians, and rebuilding in their place a holy nation for God. The Joshua generation stands strong and fearless in a land of formidable giants while others step back and echo, "We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are (Numbers 13:31b)." Instead, we proclaim and hold onto the very promise spoken to Joshua, "The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged (Deuteronomy 31:8)."
I'm really excited about this upcoming service and it is my heart's cry that we will see the glory of God this weekend, that His presence will be sooo strong!! PTL! There's gonna be a revival in R-AGE! Amen!
Not by might, not by power, but by the Spirit of God...
