This year's theme was "films that shaped our nations", so each plot of land was dedicated for a movie and flowers were placed in a way to portray a certain look. Ok, let the pictures do the talking!
Here's one example... It's Crocodile dundee, and according to the picture at the signboard, it's supposed to have a crocodile somewhere and erm... lets see.. some boat? O_o Neat huh!? :D
My Jie would sooo love this?! It's a keyboard! :D Niiicceeee
And more boooo-ti-fulll flowers! :)

ANd right after the floraide, we went to the Parliament house - the focus of national political life! Right here in this place, governments are made and unmade, issues debated and laws are enacted. ANd you noe whatt? Queen Elizabeth II actually designed the building! (Erh... with the help of some famous architect of course) You see the mosaic in the forecourt? It's Aboriginal. And it's cause it symbolises that Australia was initially inhabited by Aboriginal people before the Europeans came. And the rooms were designed and structured in a way that integrates art and architecture. It's reallie cool. But hmmm... I can't remember much. Lol! In the following picture... U see that flagpole?! It's 81. Yes. EIGHTY-ONE metres high! And the flag is almost as big as a double-decker bus. Amaziinngg... :) And so, we took many many pictures with the big pole. Of which, I only posted 3. Haha.

The use of marble and timber in the foyer links the arrival of Europeans to Australia...
Now we catch a glimpse of the rooms! Okay, so everything goes on in here. Shan't bore u with the details. But pretty cool huh? The seats were really comfy and cushiony! Neatness.
Comes in PINK too! Hahhahaa!
And there was the nice roof top which provides spectacular views.
Anddd then we went to the Mint!... I think we were reallie tired to take pictures, and there weren't much to take anyway, so only one picture. But I managed to print a $1 coin - which I paid $2.60 for. Haha. But it's nice lahh. :D
Being students makes u very interested in other unis. Haha. So we went to Australia National University! It's kinda like NUS... Spaced out, short buildings. Roads inbetween. I guess I'd prefer UNSW anytime. Cause all the buildings are near each other and it's easier to meet people. Here in ANU, it's so hard! So hard until we couldn't find the engineering building. :S Great.
This leture theatre is called the tank (it's from the Arts and Social Science Faculty). Haha. Funny. And we decided to be enthu students and take photos! :D
Annddd my Canberra adventure came to an end. It was fun. 4 places in a day! That was reallie productive. We were saying that we should go visit more places next time. The company was good and I got yet another new nickname.... :S Okkaayy! Time to start on my 20-over-pages lab report!
