Cell group Y
Yesterday was my first time attending cell group in grace since I came back. Haha.
It's funny how no one asked if I wanted to join a cell group. But I guess if I did wanna learn more and join a fellowship, I should make the first move and indicate I wanna do something about it? It all boils down to how much do you want something. So how much do you want it??
Anyway, it was held in bukit gombak and everyone from everywhere came, it was diverssee. And that's what Christianity IS like, isn't it? It's about every individual with different personalities different goals different perspective coming together with one purpose in mind and that is to glorify Him. :)) I reallie like the idea of a weekly devotional sent out every week, glad the cell leader asked if i wanted it, even though I wasn't gonna be there 3/4 of the time. Haha. :D
And as I read one the devotional that I missed... It made me think about the love Christ has for me. Love does miraculous things. It made God sent His only son to die on the cross for us. The love God has for me, none can fathom... we'll never truly understand the whole depth of it all!
"There is a story of this cheeky son of a florist. He would walk into a crowd asking who would want the rose in his hand. When there are many people who responded to him saying that they would want it, he would throw the rose on the floor and start to step on it. After he finished reducing the rose to smithereens, he would hold up the rose saying “Ah ha! So who wants the rose now?” As people started to walk away a voice bellowed from the crowd “Jesus wants the rose!”
This is a startling exclamation that holds the crux of the gospel message -- that Jesus wants us no matter how repulsive we may be. Everyone of us would at times find ourselves being like that rose, trampled by many, being made fun of because we are nothing much of value. But the whole Bible exclaims the fact that Jesus wants us even though we are of nothing much.
Remember that Jesus makes us valuable. God takes us for who we are and makes us to the best that we can be. Not by our own merit, but because of Jesus. He is the vine, we are the branches. Without Jesus, we are nothing.
Jesus wants the rose."
WOW! And it's true! Without Him, we are NOTHING! Sometimes I don't like to think that I'm nothing, cause it's not a nice feeling to have... to feel all useless and incapable. But to understand that there's someone out there who knows so much, whose knowledge is unsurpassed, whose power knows no boundaries... and yet cares for us. I don't mind being nothing, cause I know I'm something to that great person and He makes me the best I will ever be. Amazing love. :))
